    Woodworx Cabinet Builders

    01
    The Brief

    A 32-year-old cabinet shop, hidden behind a 2012 website.

    Woodworx Cabinet Builders has been operating out of their Nisku shop since 1994. Custom kitchens, millwork, built-ins, walk-in closets, commercial reception desks. Real craft, family operated, three decades of work that lives in Edmonton homes and offices.

    The website didn't match. It was a WordPress build with a wood-grain texture, sidebar navigation, and three circular CTAs labeled "Our Mission," "Our Services," and "Our Work." The hero was a heavy unoptimized JPEG. Mobile layout collapsed. Google couldn't tell what the business did or where it operated.

    A business this established deserved better.

    Under the Hood

    The tedious part nobody sees.

    This is the part of the build that took the longest and means the most. The technical SEO work. Every page tagged correctly, every title exactly 60 characters, every description exactly 160, every schema validated. The kind of work that doesn't show up in screenshots but determines whether anyone finds the site at all.

    // lib/seo/page-meta.ts
    // Single source of truth for every page's title, description, and canonical.
    // Titles: exactly 60 chars. Descriptions: exactly 160 chars. No exceptions.

    export const PAGE_META = {
      home: {
        title: "Edmonton Cabinet Builders Since 1994 | Woodworx in Nisku, AB",
        description: "Family owned Edmonton cabinet builders crafting custom kitchens, millwork, and built-ins from our Nisku shop. Serving Edmonton and area since 1994. Free quotes.",
        canonical: "https://edmontoncabinets.ca",
        ogImage: "/og/main.jpg",
      },
      // ... 8 more static pages, same shape
    } as const

    export const CITY_META = {
      edmonton: { /* unique title, description, local keywords */ },
      nisku:    { /* ... */ },
      leduc:    { /* ... */ },
      // ... 4 more city pages
    } as const

    All 16 pages flow from these two constants. Change a phone number, change one file. Update a title, the sitemap regenerates.

    Your info, in one place.

    Your name, phone, address, hours, and services are stored once and pulled into every page. Change it in one spot and the whole site updates.

    Pages built for search.

    Each page has its own title and summary aimed at what people actually type into Google. No generic line copied across the whole site.

    Google understands your business.

    Your name, address, hours, and service area are handed to Google in the format it reads best. That's what helps you turn up in local and map results.

    Links preview properly.

    Share any page on Facebook, LinkedIn, or in a text and it shows a real image and title, not a bare link.

    Open to AI assistants.

    ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, and Google's AI answers can all read the site and point people to you.

    Fast photos, still sharp.

    Every image is saved in a lightweight modern format and only loads once you scroll to it. Quick to load, no quality lost.

    Usable by everyone.

    Built to work with keyboards and screen readers, so people with disabilities can use the site just like anyone else.

    A page for each town.

    Edmonton, Nisku, Leduc, Sherwood Park, Beaumont, Devon, and Spruce Grove each get their own page written for that area. Not one generic 'areas we serve' list.

    What they had to say about it
    The Eventara team were a pleasure to work with. They guided us through a redesign & took over the hosting of our company website, giving it a much needed refresh.
